+ When can I use my new shower?

The silicone should be allowed 48 hours to fully cure before running water in the unit. Single doors and bathscreens with no thresholds can be used immediately.

+ How should I clean my glass?

We recommend mixing 30oz of water with 2oz of vinegar. If you have natural stone ommit the vinegar. Add a couple drops of dishwashing liquid and shake to combine.

For glass treated with diamon fusion:

• Use the cleaning solution once a week along with a micro fiber cloth. Make sure the micro fiber is clean of debris; a piece of sand or grout can end up badly scratching the glass
• While your glass may get dirty during the week, it will easily wash with light cleaning
• Using a squeegee will further reduce frequency of cleaning
• Do not use cleaners with ammonia or chlorine as they can strip away the diamon fusion treatment

Glass not treated with diamon fusion:

• Squeegee your shower after each use. When water dries on the surface of your glass mineral deposits are left behind. If these deposits are not cleaned on untreated glass they will become very difficult to remove over time
• Use a clean micro fiber and cleaning solution. Make sure the micro fiber is clean of debris; a piece of sand or grout can end up badly scratching the glass

+ I see streaks, spots, patterns when my glass fogs up, but there is nothing there when the glass is dry. Is this normal?

Yes, this is typical. Anything on the surface of the glass (oil, cleaner, soap scum, etc) will create microscopic variations in the surface of the glass and will affect how steam condenses on the surface. We go to great lengths to ensure the quality of the glass we install, however, this is an area that we have no ability to control. These marks will fade over time with cleaning and will be replaced by new variations as a result of cleaning, getting the gass dirty, getting soap on the glass, etc.

+ Why do the edges of my Opti-White glass look darker than the sample?

Light passing through the edge of glass lets more color transmit than when passing through a 6x6 sample. The increase in light transmission lets more color reach your eyes—Classic Clear glass will exhibit nearly black edges while Opti-White will look blueish. A white piece of paper held behind the surface of Opti-White glass will be white while Classic Clear glass will tint it green.

+ Does the door open both ways?

Correct. The hinges are designed to pivot both directions. In some cases a strike is used on the adjacent panel or wall to prevent the door from swinging in.

+ The heights don't look even on the door and panel. Why is that?

If the door is ajar even a small amount the heights will apear uneven. Try flushing the door with the panel to ensure the heights are aligned.

+ There is an air bubble in my silicone. Why?

When silicone dries air bubbles sometimes form. This is common and a natural process of silicone.

+ It looks like there are plastic squares at the bottom of my glass. What are those?

We use silicone setting blocks to keep the glass elevated from the tile. This gap is necessary so that we have space for our silicone as well as keeping the glass from chipping or breaking from contacting the tile.

+ The plastic sweep on the bottom of my door is dirty. How can I clean it?

The sweep is the only removable component for cleaning. The easist way to remove the door sweep is to open the door and simply press down on the sweep, starting from the outside edge then moving toward the shower curb. Warm soapy water and a brush works well to clean the sweep. When reinstalling make sure the tapered edge is facing the inside of the enclosure and the sweep is pressed all the way up or it may bind. Close the door slowly the first time to make sure the sweep is on correctly.
